There are a few things in your closet that are must haves forever. These are your wardrobe staples and they are usually pieces you should consider investing in. For men one of those staples is jeans. Denim trends in waves for women, whether it be the 70s flare or 90s mom jean but for guys it seems to be the wash that shifts throughout the years. In the 90s everything was light wash (hello Marky Mark) but twenty years later we are craving the slim/skinny fit in a dark wash usually black. That is not to say light wash is completely out of the question, but the dark wash is taking the forefront.
When looking for the right denim, men should count their blessings because unlike women's jeans their sizing goes by waist and length which means they can find a more accurate fit which is key. If you are looking for a slimmer fit try a straight leg style. Roll up the bottom to the ankle which can pair perfectly with simple white tennis shoes like the Stan Smiths or Supergas. If you really want to be on trend with the 2k10s opt for a pair of skinny jeans which can be daring for guys but if you try and size up one, they won't be so skin tight like the lady's style. One way for a guy to let his denim stand out is to slit the knees of his fitted jeans to make them street style worthy while still being subtle. Pair it with a tee, trainers and a leather jacket or better yet a denim jacket (Canadian tuxedo anyone?).
