For men, trends don't vary to much season to season and we appreciate that for what it is. Menswear focuses on the man and not the clothes he's wearing. The fashions a man styles is a state of expression and exudes a man's demeanor. We like the fact that the clothes aren't wearing a man but instead help to show who the man is and how he feels. This season's trends are more of a way to reinvent the classic menswear silhouettes that we love so much.

One trend that we are seeing a lot of for the fall is a turtleneck. We have always loved turtlenecks for women yet we didn't know how much we would love them for men too. We suggest pairing a turtleneck with black pleated trousers for work with a lighter material turtleneck. Or you could try wearing a heavier jumper type turtleneck with a pair of ripped skinnies for a night out. The key here is to make sure the turtleneck isn't fitted if you wear it with skinnies and vice versa. In order to keep some shape and not wash you completely out you need to mix and match your fits. Check out these turtlenecks here and here.

Next up is a bit of animal print for the fellas. We aren't talking Jersey Shore style, we are talking muted grays and blacks on a printed jumper or jacket. We love this look partly because we love muted patterns and partly because it is so different than the classic striped pattern we often see in menswear. Shop some here and here.

Shearling jackets have become more popular the past few years mostly because of the Brits. We've already said we think British fashion is underrated but we see it here first hand. The shearling jacket looks great on all guys and can be worn with their dark wash jeans or atop their business attire. Take a look at these from Asos.

Army green came into the fashion world as a womenswear fall color staple, but when we think back to where it originates from, the army is full of both men and women which is why it only makes sense that this shade becomes more prominent on the men's side too. There isn't really any limits to where you can bring this color. From jackets to jumpers to trousers we like to see it anywhere just not everywhere. Try sticking to one item and pair the rest of your look with something more neutral. We love these trousers, this jacket and this top.

One of the best things about transitioning into fall after summer is that you can retire your warm weather clothing and begin layering. Coincidentally, layering has become a major trend for men this fall. Wearing a t-shirt under a jumper under your leather jacket works well in the beginning of the fall when it is getting a little chilly but when the fall really hits (aka November) try swapping out your leather for an overcoat to create layering perfection. Not only does it keep you warm but it looks great because it creates a flattering allusion without making you appear chunky. For the perfect layered look, try keeping things light on the inside and go heavier as you get to your outer layers.
