High Waisted v Low Rise

We have been having this debate for a while now; high waisted or low rise, which jean is better? Some of us prefer a high waisted jean and some prefer a low rise pair and though it comes down to preference, each pair flatter certain body types better than others. While a pair of high waisted jeans will elongate your legs, a pair of low rise jeans will show off your hips. High waisted work well if you have shorter legs and want to make them appear longer but also work on longer legs as well. Low rise can be unflattering on someone who has shorter legs as it can make them look "stumpy" whereas someone with longer legs can pull them off just fine.

Styling either pair is easy because at the end of the day they're just jeans but again some tops will work better than others. With high waisted we love to tuck in our top to show off our legs. It is also the perfect pair to wear a cropped shirt with as it won't show off too much skin. With low rise pretty much anything goes. Some of our favorite high street jeans are Topshop, Zara and Forever21.
