Out of the many pre-fall and fall campaigns we have seen thus far, the one we are really into is The Alexander Wang RTW collection. The Alexander Wang house in the past has had a very dark and edgy almost sporty vibe that we love not only for its designs but also because of the cool inspo it gives for those like us that are on high street budgets. And this fall collection proves to be no different. With an army green, black and white color palette mixed with structured jackets, skirts and jumpers there is so much inspo coming from this collection. We wish we could style every single piece into our wardrobe which is a rare with a full collection and that is exactly why we wanted to highlight it today.
When it comes to fashion, no one says you need a high fashion budget to look stylish. There is nothing wrong with using the pages of Vogue to find inspiration from the big fashion houses to then go to H&M and replicate for a fraction of the cost. Below we focused on the very best of the new Alexander Wang collection combined with a similar piece you can afford from Forever21.
The army green A-line dress nearly defines fall fashion and the structure of the dress at the top and hips creates a flattering hourglass figure with a less fitted bottom. It has amazing details of cream stitching that bring the dress to another level and sets it apart from a typical A-line dress. We would pair this with a leather jacket and booties for day and a gold necklace with heels for a night out. Shop this Alexander Wang dress or this one from Forever21.
A heavier coat is to be expected in every fall/winter collection but what we love about this one is the rigid structure it has and the great gray color that styles well with silver accessories. You can shop this coat here. A similar item from Forever21 may not be a coat but as a shirt dress it has the same color we love about this piece and can be styled with so many other items for fall.
Duster coats and vests are a HUGE trend for fall and this camel colored one can be worked into your wardrobe with many different items. Turtlenecks, jumpers, dresses the list goes on and on. Get your hands on this one from AW or check out this similar piece from Forever21.
Leather skirts for the fall always bring us back to Rachel Green in Central Perk and fifteen years later the skirt is back. The leather skirt has made a comeback from the early 2000s and has been reinvented with silver zips and wrap silhouettes. We love the A-line silhouette in the one shown above from Alexander Wang but we also love this circle cut faux leather skirt from Forever21 for under $25.
