We have seen womenswear designers take their own approach on different eras season after season and this fall we are seeing glimpses of not one but several different decades. From modge 60s to vintage 90s some items have come full circle and are back in designer rotation. Aside from the redesigns, there are also some items that are completely new to the fashion world. We love both the rebirth and brand new fashions. We are excited for the new wave of fall trends because it is our favorite season and the designs never disappoint.

One of the biggest trends we are seeing for this fall is the duster coat. A neutral colored duster coat is perfect for the early fall when it isn't chilly enough for a full on coat but you still need something to keep you warm. We love love love duster coats and think you can start wearing them during pre-fall September with shorts or skirts sans tights. There isn't much you can't pair it with which is why you can make it an everyday coat. Make a statement with your duster by mono chroming it. Pair an all black look with a white duster and vice versa. Check out these duster coats here.

Another major trend this fall is an a-line button skirt. From Topshop, to H&M to Zara we are seeing this skirt all over high street stores in many variations. A t-shirt or jumper (like the one above) works well and pretty much any shoe goes. From white trainers to slip-ons to booties, they all look good with this skirt. We love these Topshop button skirts that come in multiple colors and patterns.

Shirt dresses were big in the late 2000s and have come back but have been designed with more diligence which making them more flattering. They are super easy since you essentially have a whole outfit already made for you but we like the different items you can style with them. A leather jacket looks great with one (as seen above) but a denim jacket or even a duster coat can work as well. From stripes to chambray to the classic cream, the shirt dress comes in so many different designs. Even though we have been into the ankle bootie the past couple years, throwing in a over the knee suede boot looks amazing with the shirt dress as it shows just a little skin and cuts you at the right spots. Try these shirt dresses or these.

A good compliment to the shirt dress is the next fall trend; the western buckle belt. Several bloggers have been spotted putting this accessory with their mid-summer looks but we are fairly confident they will run even bigger in the fall. Give shape to a shirt dress by styling it with this belt. Or tuck in a light jumper and wear the belt with your favorite skinnies. We think it adds a little something to the look and finishes it off. We love this affordable belt from Zara.

Black skinnies will probably be "in style" forever but for fall there is another pair of skinnies that are taking over. Gray skinnies are muted and bring a cooler tone for fall and winter. Styling them with another muted palette such as white, light blue or even more gray (similar to these items here) looks amazing and doesn't wash you out but instead give this peaceful tone to your outfit. Try a leather jacket with it to finish the look off. We love a pair of moto gray skinnies or a simple pair with slit knees and think they work well with booties, slip-ons or low cut sneakers like Stan Smiths. Take a look at these gray jeans from Zara.
