Frayed Denim

For years we have been fraying our cigarette jeans at the hem to give it a fresh look with a vintage appeal. DIYing our clothing is nothing new but we think it is underrated. Adding a hole to the knee or transforming your flannel shirt into a skirt (which we have actually done) is a way to express your style and creativity which is what fashion is all about isn't? (lol we wish this was always true) Take a pair of scissors to those jeans that you don't love anymore and make them into something you'll want to wear everyday. If you feel like you're wearing the same items all the time try thinking of new ways to invent them like our makeshift skirt (or wear all black like us and no one will notice the difference). Don't be scared to experiment with your clothes and style them in a way that represents you. If expressing your innovative ideas through DIYing your clothing is a little too risky for you, try taking a look at these looks for cool DIY inspo below.
This wrap skirt with frayed edges take a DIY pro...or you can just shop it here.
We (amongst other things) are always down for a pair of ripped knee skinnies. The key here is to find where your knee hits the jeans and make slits across letting nature take its course to stretch them out and wear them in. Shop this look here.
Rompers are always a good go-to outfit completer but sometimes we like to just keep the bottoms around and switch in a simple tank to compliment. For these situations just wear the shorts and tuck the top half into the bottom so they cannot be seen. Shop this look here.
