Friday Night Stripes

Labor Day Weekend is upon us and there is no better time than the present to talk about stripes (except maybe Fourth of July). Instead of focusing on tops with a striped pattern we are honing in on trousers. From pleated to culottes there are so many options to end the summer in, and even a couple you can take beyond the heat and into the fall. 

Culottes are a tricky trend, but one that looks amazing when pulled off correctly. We suggest pairing a solid colored tank with a tighter fit this weekend and a pair of heeled mules. It is the right look for all different LDW activities like cookouts or even a night out. To take a pair of striped culottes beyond the summer, try pairing a solid colored jumper with a collared shirt underneath and a pair of loafers to finish it off. Not only is it a great way to layer but it is also a refreshing look that not many try. A striped pair of flowy trousers can be super flattering not to mention extremely comfortable. They can elongate your legs and slim your body. You can dress them down and make them more casual by pairing them with white trainers or black slip on sneakers. Take it a step further and top off your striped pants with a duster vest. Transform the look for a night out by wearing some type of heels, whether that be a chunky smaller heel or a five inch stiletto.
